The full house sign has gone out for the final two days of the 2013 Tradestaff World Softball Championship being played at Rosedale Park in Auckland.
The crowd capacity for the ground and Freeman Field is 3,500 and all tickets were sold for the event on Friday night – after the Black Sox confirmed that they will be playing at the business end of the tournament.
Australia are still in contention of making it back-to-back world softball crowns with the side bouncing back from their heart-breaking defeat to the Black Sox last night to end Japan’s hopes of staying in the 2013 Tradestaff World Championship.
Australia from the first inning showed that they meant business, scoring three runs and with Andrew Kirkpatrick in control on the mound – the big hurler throwing a no-hitter - Japan were unable to find an answer to a Australian side that was still hurting from its last game on Freeman Field.
The side now faces the winner of the Argentina v Canada game in the late game tonight to decide who will play the first game tomorrow.
